Simple liver cysts are fluid-filled sacs that form in the liver.

Often cysts are single, though some people develop multiple cysts.

Simple liver cysts usually do not cause symptoms or harm the function of the liver.

Treatment is not needed for simple liver cysts that do not cause any symptoms.
