About this Condition

Shrunken liver is the reduction in size of the liver with the liver tissue being fibrotic and scarred (cirrhosis).

This is an indicator that the liver has lost its ability to regenerate.

This is usually due to chronic liver disease which leaads to cirrhosis.

The normal liver size is 10-12cm x 20-23cm.
