Ovarian teratoma

An ovarian teratoma is a benign congenital germ cell tumour.

Teratomas contain elements from all three embryological layers: endoderm, mesoderm and ectoderm.

They contain different tissue types, including, fat, cystic fluid, skin, soft tissues, hair and sometimes calcification including teeth.
