About this Condition

Lung metastases are formed by the spread of cancer from other organs to the lung(s).

The lung receives and oxygenates the blood flow from the body via the right side of the heart, and as a result of this, there is risk of tumor from the body spreading via the blood (hematogenous) to the lungs.
