Hernia of the bladder

A hernia is when tissue or an organ bulges or projects into a cavity where it doesn’t normally sit.

In the case of bladder hernia it is when a portion of the bladder bulges into the scrotal sac, inguinal canal or femoral canal.

Bladder herniation into the scrotum is also called scrotal cystocele.
