C-section scar

In some patients changes in the tissue under the skin from a Caesarean section (C-section) or pelvic surgery scar can be seen by imaging.

This occurs when the subcutaneous fatty tissue is changed by the incision, and when the junction of the lower uterine segment and body of the uterus are slightly thinned with scar present within the muscle layer of the uterus.
